There is excitement and adventure every day.  Yellow Pine abounds with recreation opportunities.

Dirt biking, ATV-UTV riding, or driving

Dirt bikes are welcome on all forest service motorized vehicle trails. Check out the maps to find your next adventure. Thank you for staying on the designated trails.

Non-Motorized Trails

Hiking, mountain biking, trail running, horseback riding: In addition to the roads and trails for other types of transportation, there are local, non-motorized trails available near Yellow Pine. Local mountain bikers have also developed some trails immediately around Yellow Pine

Stream Fishing

Both the East Fork of the Salmon River and Johnson Creek provide excellent fly fishing and stream fishing. Both are within walking distance of Yellow Pine and run along the local campgrounds. These waterways are home to Salmon, Bull Trout, and Rainbow Trout. All stream fishing in the area is catch and release.

Lake Fishing

Local lakes require some footwork, but are worth the hike. Reardon, Rainbow, and Crater lakes are all good fishing holes.
